US Fall Athletics Update

It was another fall to remember for Crystal US Athletics. Read on for a complete roundup of fall US sports team results.
  • Crystal’s 8-person football team finished a strong year, going 5-2. While also having team members recognized as the league’s MVP (Rohan D ‘25) and Defensive MVP (Brighton R-M ‘25).
  • Girls volleyball was a co-champion of the WBAL Skyline Division with a league record of 11-1 and an overall record of 23-4. Following a great regular season, the girls repeated as Central Coast Section (CCS) D5 Champions. Following CCS, the girls earned the #3 seed in D3 for the CIF State Tournament. This was the program’s highest seeding, two divisions above what our school size reflects, due to the competitive equity approach from the CIF.
  • Girls Golf had three players finish in the Top-7 at the very competitive WBAL Tournament. The team's collective performance earned them an At-Large entry to the extremely competitive CCS Tournament in Monterey at Laguna Seca Golf Ranch on November 5. Victoria C ‘28 was named Co-MVP of the league.
  • Girls Tennis, despite playing in one of the toughest leagues in the state, had players advance to the league tournament which serves as the section qualifier.
  • Crystal Cross Country made more history at the CCS Championships on November 17, which saw the girls set a team record while winning their third straight CCS title. The boys also set a team record, finishing second. Senior Ben B ‘25 ran the 4th fastest time in course history, which dates back to 1972. Both teams advanced to the CIF State Meet to be held in Fresno on Saturday, November 30, where they will look to defend their state titles.
  • Boys and Girls Cross Country both finished in the Top Five 2024-25 Fall Scholastic Championship Teams of the Central Coast Section, while the Girls Tennis, Golf, and Volleyball teams all finished as the #1 Fall Scholastic Champion of CCS.
Congratulations to all our Scholar-Athletes!
