Crystal FIRST
The power of community ensures you and your family feel genuinely supported and valued. Crystal FIRST upholds this commitment with a proactive approach to equity and access in independent school education.The Crystal FIRST program is tailored to provide resources and enrichment for students who aspire to be the first in their families to attend college, as we understand that students from traditionally underrepresented communities face unique challenges.
Peninsula Bridge
Rising seventh and eighth grade students from the San Mateo-Foster City school district come to the Crystal campus to engage in dynamic and challenging Math, Language Arts, and Science courses for a five-week program. Students take electives that range from coding to improv, work in small advisory groups, and venture out on college and career-focused field trips.Beyond the classroom, students are mentored by a passionate team of high school and college-aged teaching assistants, many of whom are Crystal students. These TAs serve as relatable role models who make education both fun and cool.
Crystal Springs Uplands School is a proud partner of Peninsula Bridge, a non-profit, educational access program nearly twenty years old.

Observing the George Floyd Murder Anniversary
Students and school faculty/staff came together at each campus to remember George Floyd. In the Middle School, students observed a moment of silence and took time to reflect on the anniversary. The Asian Culture Club led a virtual celebration of the Year of the Ox, including wonderful performances and interactive activities like cooking demos that helped us not miss the traditional banquet quite so much.
