Reunion 2013: A Grand Success!

On Saturday, May 18, over 150 alumni and faculty “Came Home to Crystal” to celebrate Reunion 2013. Complete with dinner, dancing, tours, and a State of the School presentation by Amy Richards...
...the evening was filled with positive energy and meaningful re-connections with good friends.  As one faculty member put it, “It was fun to see so many former students.  Even a few days later, I'm still smiling about it!”

The Classes of 1973, 1978, 1983, 1988, 1993, 2003, and 2008 celebrated special reunions and boasted terrific turnouts. Members of 1973’s “Fab 50” joined together to celebrate their 40th reunion and hope to see more friends at the 45th. The Class of 1978 had a full table at the Reunion Dinner and led a toast to honor Dick and Margo Loveland. Fifteen members and guests from the Class of 1983 reminisced over dinner at their 30th reunion in the Head of School’s office. And the Class of 1988 was pleased to honor one of their own 25th reunion celebrants, Chris Alden ’88 as Alumnus of the Year at the cocktail reception in the Mansion Ballroom.

Thanks to Jonathan Mendelson ’93 who ably organized the Class of 1993 for a weekend of 20th reunion celebrations including a family barbeque (click here for photos). Petra Barron Nedzel ‘03 helped gather the Class of 2003 for a meaningful celebration, complete with videos from their graduation and the opening of their 10-year predictions. Petra encouraged a terrific turnout from the class. Kudos, Petra! The Class of 2008 celebrated their fifth reunion with a notable turnout. We look forward to seeing them again for their 10th reunion in 2018!

Believe it or not, plans are already being made for Reunion 2014 to be held on May 17, 2014.  If you are in a class ending with 9 or 4, please contact the alumni office for more information.
