I joined Crystal in 6th grade. The moment I attended my first event, I thrived in the community. There wasn’t a moment I was not laughing or smiling. I enjoyed the flush of the experience. On a personal note, Crystal is a school that rids itself of exclusionary groups such as cliques. Everyone mingles with one another, strengthening older bonds and starting new ones, thus creating a safe and healthy environment in which everyone belongs. Due to being a small, tight-knit community, everyone knows and understands each other to a deeper degree. I appreciate and enjoy that when I joined Crystal, the teachers were keen on giving me the attention I needed. They spent hours at a time ensuring that my transition was and stayed as smooth as possible. I only wish I had shown my gratitude for them even sooner.
